Product reviews

Historically, Native Americans smoked Lobelia as a treatment for Asthma. In the 19th century, American physicians prescribed Lobelia to induce vomiting. After chewing the plant, early settlers noted the taste was similar to tobacco and produced effects like that of nicotine. Today, Lobelia is used for asthma, bronchitis, cough, and quitting smoking. It contains chemicals that might thin mucous to make it easier to cough up. Lobelia is also thought to raise the mood of people with anxiety disorders, eating disorders, OCD, and major depressive disorders. It is a nervine and antispasmodic, relaxes the nerves, calms muscle spasms, and helps with relaxation. Safe for internal and external uses.

Warning: Talk to your doctor before use. Due to Lobeline content it is considered toxic if taken in large quantities. Due to its similarities to nicotine, it may be toxic to susceptible individuals including people with cardiac disease, children, and pregnant women. Excessive use will cause vomiting and nausea.
