Who We Are
We’re Salt Crystal Apothic — a small-batch apothecary based in northwest Oklahoma, built by hand (literally) and rooted in a shared belief: wellness should be accessible, functional, and made without cancer causing carcinogens.
Founded by Jilisa Jackson and Sara Cramer — co-owners, co-creators, neighbors, and best friends — Salt Crystal Apothic grew from the ashes of what felt like the end of the road. After a short but formative experience developing topicals in the medical marijuana industry, they walked away with hard-earned knowledge and a question that sparked something bigger:
What can the other plants do for our bodies?
Driven by curiosity and a deep need for honest answers, Jilisa and Sara began a relentless search for research-backed herbal solutions and non-toxic home essentials. Along the way, new questions came up:
What if people had access to the herbs themselves?
What if we offered affordable and sustainable swaps?
what if herbal wellness was available to everyone, not just the wealthy?
Before long, the vision turned physical. With their own hands, they built the Salt Crystal Apothic storefront — a place where plant-based wellness, practical knowledge, and eco-conscious living come together under one roof.
We officially opened our doors on October 12, 2024.
What We Offer
Products labeled Salt Crystal Apothic — from herbal salves to hair oil and herbal smoke blends — are made in-house with carefully chosen, high-functioning natural ingredients. Everything we create is designed to be effective, research-informed, and free of unnecessary chemicals or hype.
We also support local makers like CM Designs, The Crafty Runner, Captivating Arrangements, and Frisky Sisters Soaps, and carry a curated selection of ethically sourced herbs, eco-friendly home goods, and non toxic cleaner and detergents on our refill station. Bring your own container or we offer a variety on our shelves with accessories.
Our Roots
Our name is a tribute to the Oklahoma Salt Plains, just down the road from Cherokee — a place where rare selenite crystals form from dust, time, and the elements. That same grounded resilience is what we carry into every product we make.
